Langkawi Wildlife Park
Nature spots are a hit in the Langkawi district especially with tourists. The location is blessed with several tourist destinations that showcase the beauty of nature. Tours pass by many of these spots parts of the entire trip.
Langkawi Wildlife Park is one of the top choices among travelers when they got a trip planned to the area. This park offers a one-of-a-kind nature experience that allows them to relax but also learn through interaction with actual animal species.
The whole park spans five and a half acres of land in the Kilim area with a look and feel of an actual rainforest. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the park from the nearest settlement, Kuah Town. This park was opened in 2002 and originally labelled as the “Langkai Bird Paradise” for its rich species of birds.
Later more animal species were added to the forest including mammals and reptiles which later changed the name to what it is known now, Langkawi Wildlife Park. Over 150 animal species call the park their home. And they come from all over the world with species coming from Asia, South America, Africa, Australia, and Europe.
As you explore the park, you would notice that there are roofed walkways and decks that span the entire area. This allows tourists to go visit exhibits and interact with animals without worrying about the rain or the heat of the sun.
Feeding sessions are schedule throughout the day for both birds and animals. It is a hit with children and their families because it is an engaging experience. Food bags are bought at 6 RM to feed the bird or animal species. Tourists are asked to feed food that are appropriate to the species they’re interacting with which can be seen through a chart near the feeding area.
Several Langkawi tours that include the Langkawi Wildlife Park as one of its destinations. They come at different rates and can be scheduled anytime depending on the company that you applied for. This option is great for groups planning to visit the park.
